Most poems have burrs
some that fall off and
stick to us
some poems have burrs
like stellate stars
that penetrate the heart
and warm the liver
and some have burrs
that are scary or cold
and kind of make you shiver
this poem has a burr too
I'm totally in Love with You
and I really am... it's true.
I hope that doesn't
give you the flu.
