Drink Recipe: Riviter's Friend

4 oz. dark coffee
2 teaspoons brown sugar
2 1/2 oz. milk
1/4 oz. Vodka

This drink came from right before the Great Depression. It was used to keep the liquor tolerance
from rising. The theory was that if you drank a little liquor in the morning and then waited
at least until around dinner time to drink, then your body wouldn't build up a tolerance.

from the pantry

Sad ocean urged into
a faded sky
breathing
a quiet reproach of clouds
The vast night shivers
bone cold, deep, and
blue, as the universe’s ghost
walks by

at the edge of the thought of meditation

the truth beneath the sky
evolves across a
distance of light
and again this

rising and falling in stillness and quiet
just as you do

what practice
leaning back slightly
it's okay to
remind my ears
I lessen
senses gone
so way inside me that I can't end this

double now times four

as showers stall the afternoon
and heartbeats rock between the
soft gray lights
only once didn't mean I won't forget
the absence of things
holding upon me
this world
more still than
before I wrote this

part of the forgotten shadow

 eventually comes
 rain  to fall
on all the no longer needed words
un-erasable without tears

perth antoine

the beautiful uncertainty of
a horizonless fog is hanging
a dreamy jacket
over melted shadow

like words wearing sunglasses
removing days from the calendar

close in a few ways

Sky spreads
looking through the lens of sea and fog
how much gold is in the sun
below rain and dreams

wonderful islands nobody owns
between the pages
that were made truly good

how fast  moves

I'll be In the stands
close in a few ways
Whenever you wanted to look
here there one or nothing

Post Title

how being in a daydream for more than
whenever is like being in love

a thousand years
as it is
like to be in love with someone who
lives in a different world
the unheard voices
of a swan
you may have seen by the lake

How I must be moving in a story
and the generation whose

  moon dyed its
   camouflage

all heating this night
like a heart ripped
out of fire
