How Long It will Last

is the brilliance of things
attracting some being beings short lived and others
long and what keeps one shining longer is in the
space between them.

Dead giants rocking a world full of
life all circling a star which circles
itself like a billion others but to us
so close it's the only one really important.

I worship the sun especially this time of year when it's a lucky day that we see her. But I love how this also sounds like you're writing about people.

it made my day a few years ago when they found the brain cells dont just die and theyre gone, blessed be there is hopefor me yet! and more recently about disproving the left right brain traits...in the brains two halves...like doctor spock and baby milk theory

Funny how what we think are facts end up changing over time. Is it an evolution of the mind? Keeping an open mind and continually challenging ourselves with new things...provides the opportunity to give life to previously unused braincells. But sometimes we don't want to work that hard. I hear the age excuse used so often. I'm trying so hard to not take the temptingly easy road.

Sometimes people don't like the new findings and stick with the old ways because the new things conflict with thier beliefs. That is pretty common I think. Its hard to know what makes people smart or what smart is. Personally I think being smart means youre a nice person..unfortunately there are many different ideas about what being a nice person is!
